The Interreg project “Futures By Design” in the North Sea region is picking up speed right at the start of the new year. The project team will support small and medium-sized enterprises from northern Germany in working in a more data-based way in future. All-day online workshops with small and medium-sized enterprises from northern Germany will be held on 19.01.2021 and 26.01.2021.

What does the term “data” actually mean and how can data generate added value for a company? How can both internal and external data be used to optimise processes and workflows within the company and ultimately save costs and time? These and other questions will be answered during the workshops. The topic of data will be approached interactively: Potentials for data use are identified and illustrated with many examples. The participating companies are thus given impulses for their daily work and also initial ideas for the development of their own data project. As part of the workshop, selected digital tools developed in the “Futures by Design” project partnership will also be presented. These tools are intended to help small and medium-sized enterprises in the North Sea region to review and improve their knowledge and skills in relation to data-based work. New solutions can thus be identified and sustainable, innovative processes can be implemented in the companies. A total of six regions are involved in the “Futures By Design” project – Friesland (Netherlands), Groningen (Netherlands), Cambridgeshire (UK), Antwerp (Belgium), Halland (Sweden), as well as the district of Osterholz and the surrounding districts in north-western Germany. If you are a small or medium-sized company from northern Germany and would still like to take part in one of the workshops mentioned, please contact us at fbd@aconium.eu.
