On behalf of the Berufsfortbildungswerk gemeinnützige Bildungseinrichtungen des DGB (bfw), aconium GmbH has been working on a feasibility study for the development of an employee-oriented advisory service in Saxony since the beginning of the year. The aim of the study was to develop a decision-making basis for the potential establishment of a social partnership-based guidance structure in Saxony.

To this end, a well-founded analysis of relevant stakeholders, existing models and organizational forms as well as the legal situation was carried out. As part of the study, it was determined to what extent, under what conditions and with what design options the establishment of such an advisory service is feasible in Saxony. Based on the findings, the implementation of such a service is recommended. In this context, particular consideration was given to the prevailing economic structure of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and their employees in the Free State of Saxony. The study project presented here is embedded in the regional transformation network for the vehicle and supplier industry “Mobility – Leipzig in Transition (MoLeWa)”. This network is funded by the “Transformation Strategies for Regions of the Automotive and Supplier Industry” funding program of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection. As part of the MoLeWa project, the partner consortium aims to promote the successful transformation of the vehicle industry and the automotive supplier and service sector in the Leipzig region.

As a consortium partner for the employee side of the MoLeWa project, the bfw has set itself the goal of strengthening and further developing social partnership cooperation at a regional level and proactively meeting the increased need for advice and support from companies and employees during transformation processes.
