On 16 November, the partners of the Erasmus+ project EPIC – Improving Employability through Internationalisation and Collaboration – came together for a meeting at the aconium GmbH office in Berlin.

The project EPIC aims to support students with practical learning in order to prepare them for the job market. With the method of problem-based learning, participating European students work on case studies provided by different companies. During the meeting in Berlin, the project partners focused on the evaluation of the already acquired case studies aggregated by key subjects “Cyber and Traffic”, “Data Management”, “Industry 4.0 / Internet of Things”, “Smart City” and “Others”.

At least two students from different international study locations will work on those studies, mainly in the context of a master or bachelor thesis. EPIC supports the students, teachers and companies with guidelines and networking possibilities, because they face the challenge of working together besides physical distance and differing university requirements. aconium GmbH ensures the high quality of the provided material. Together with the project partner Talaia from Barcelona they contribute to the project with an entrepreneurial perspective. Furthermore, aconium GmbH contributes two case studies to the project.

The next meeting for EPIC is planned for 12 to 16 February 2018 in Riga to supply all participating students and teachers with additional material for their projects.
