Tim Brauckmüller, who hosted the event, began by thanking everyone in attendance. “We are delighted to be working in close partnership with the city of Kiev to drive forward the digital agenda. As an experienced player in the field of regional development, we will ensure that citizens in particular benefit from smart city infrastructure and digital solutions,” explained Brauckmüller. Vitaly Klitschko then expressed his thanks for the good cooperation. Kiev wants to be at the forefront of digitalization. “Kiev is now taking big steps towards the digital future. I am convinced that with the expertise and support of our German colleagues, together we will make Kiev the most successful and beautiful smart city in Europe,” said Klitschko. Ambassador Melnyk was delighted that the existing personal contacts are now being followed by concrete action and expressed his best wishes to everyone involved.
Rainer Bomba emphasized the great potential of Kiev, which is taking important steps forward with the help of the projects, and expressed his appreciation to all those involved for the successful cooperation. The digitalization of the Ukrainian capital primarily serves to improve the comfort, standard of living and safety of the residents of the city of Kiev. The contract to support the development of the Smart City Kiev includes targeted measures and projects to accelerate Kiev’s further steps towards a digital future.
